Suddenly darkness falls, as if a phantom devoured the sun. The sky is covered by a dark aura, from which emerges a nightmarish cavalcade, a demonic procession – the Wild Hunt. The silhouettes of nightmarish riders glide across the sky, and their cries grow louder. The ghostly clamor mixes with the screams and cries of children, as through this terrible tumult breaks the loud crack of breaking ice…
The Witcher: Old World - Wild Hunt is an expansion introducing a cooperative challenge for all the witchers sitting at the table. During the gameplay, participants will complete tasks and fight monsters and the hounds of the Wild Hunt, ultimately leading to a confrontation with one of the spectral riders: Eredin, Nithral, Imlerith, or Caranthir. If in the last round they manage to defeat him before all the witchers are knocked down, they will win together. Otherwise (also together) they will suffer defeat and will be able to take on the challenge again.
What is The Witcher: Old World?
It is an adventure board game that takes players on a journey through a fantastic world full of dangers, secret magic, dark secrets, and extraordinary places just waiting to be discovered. The game’s action takes place in the fan-favorite Witcher universe, many years before the events of the saga about Geralt of Rivia, in times when a plague of monsters ravaged the Continent. Only witchers – professional killers trained to fight creatures hostile to humans – were able to counter it.
