What are Tales of the Storyteller?
Tales of the Storyteller is a series of unique games combining elements of role-playing and choose-your-own-adventure games. They will open the doors to a world like the fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm — full of mysteries and monsters. Here, the nearby ancient forest is inhabited by the fearsome Baba Yaga, future generations of wizards train in the Tower of Arcane Arts, and Little Red Riding Hood cleverly gathers fly agarics for a meeting with a dangerous werewolf.
Anyone can play — children, adults, and teenagers, and the role of the Storyteller can be taken by anyone who can read aloud clearly and distinctly. The easy-to-learn rules mean you can start playing almost immediately. Tales of the Storyteller bridge the gap between choose-your-own-adventure and role-playing games: suitable for both beginners and true game veterans looking for something new. Alone or with friends, you will embark on dangerous missions, but beware! Only those with the skills, intelligence, and courage of true heroes will survive and return home.
Solo or in a team?
Although it is said that before setting out on a journey you should gather a team, in this game you can also challenge the adventure alone. The rules are very simple and flexible: designed for both groups and solo mode. So if you are fans of choose-your-own-adventure games, you can experience your adventure alone. If you prefer role-playing games, play with family or friends!
In Dragonholes beasts roar
One of the greatest advantages of Tales of the Storyteller is their magical atmosphere. This game is not just a book: at blackmonk.pl/listen you will find one of the soundscapes that can play during your adventures. These are recordings combining sounds, music, and narration. They guarantee a completely new level of engagement in gameplay and a sense of immersion in its world, enhancing both the mood and the story. The narrator of the Polish version is Janusz Zadura, a voice actor known for roles such as Rico in Madagascar Penguins, Robin Hood in Shrek, and many audiobooks (including the Discworld series).
Who are the Characters?
In the game, each player creates their Character by choosing from available Character Classes. Thanks to simple mechanics, nothing prevents you from creating a completely new, custom Character Class! All use five simple statistics and have their unique Special Ability. Will you become an apprentice of a powerful Wizard who wants to surpass his master? Or will you take on the role of a resourceful Thief or a Scot seeking the way home? You can even become a vengeful Pirate — the choice is yours!
Why Tales of the Storyteller?
The unique atmosphere of European fairy tales, which will appeal to both younger and older players. It is an epic fantasy adventure for everyone!
Many gameplay possibilities, friendly for beginners and interesting for true game veterans looking for something new.
High replayability and many scenarios ensuring good fun for long hours! Play as a team or solo!
Beautiful, fairy-tale illustrations, helpful maps and journals, as well as soundscapes that will take the story to a whole new level!
