Have you ever wondered why there are no dwarves in Tamriel? Well, there used to be. Okay, not exactly dwarves, but underground elves (I know, strange) called Dwemer. This name means "people under the earth." The mentioned race was a highly advanced civilization, and their mechanical inventions were admired by others. It is said, however, that the golems themselves, spheres, and other inventions were powered by soul stones, which trapped the essence of a being, enslaved and killed specifically for this purpose. The soul powered the mechanism. A dark secret of technology. Well, we won't find out now, because the Dwemer disappeared from the continent one day after the Battle of Red Mountain, and all trace of them was lost. It is said that the Falmer, degenerate remnants of the Snow Elves, slaves of the Dwemer, could unravel this mystery. Unfortunately, our albinos cannot speak, but they attack researchers immediately within sight. At least we can explore the underground and find treasures like this set of dice in the Dwemer ruins. You know how it is in Skyrim - we entered a cave for a moment. Probably there are only bandits and a blind alley... and again we ended up in Blackreach.
