They were tiny, barely the size of a human head. Who did they bother? Who was cruel enough to break them before the young hatched from them? I will not forgive! I will not forgive the shame and pain, tears and heartbreak. I will burn, I will burn everything. Wretched creatures, rats climbing mountains, bringing only misery and the stench of their bodies. Yes, stench – I will remember it well. And I will find the one who emits it. I will search everywhere, the terror of my wings will fall over the kingdoms. And when I find him… oh no, I will not kill him. I will imprison him, then make sure he watches the death of his loved ones, family, children, wives, companions, inhabitants of his village and his barony, and his country. And when not a stone is left upon another, I will release him, I will track him. I will take away food, drive him from water, I will growl when he sleeps. I will destroy anyone who tries to help him. And so he will lie in the mud, tired, hungry, dirty. And he will die. And so the dragon’s revenge will be fulfilled.
