Book of the Dragon's Curse Wooden Game Master's Screen + 8 Magnets

$90.00

Here is the story carved on the trunk of the Ooprer tree – all the cultists heard His call deep within their minds. They stood in a circle, wrapped in shimmering green robes, and folded their hands in prayer. When the priest leading the ritual stepped into the center of the circle, they raised their hands high to the beams of light streaming through the small stained glass windows of the Romanesque temple, their chapel of horror. The Master of Ceremonies carried before him a bloodstained book bound in thick wood, which protected the blasphemous text from the eyes of the unbelievers. The eerie Eye of their lord, personally engraved by the highest acolyte, looked at the adepts from the book. The Master of Ceremonies opened the unholy text and began to chant incantations in a wild and primal language no one used anymore. The attic was filled with the dense presence of the Primordial. The gathered cultists felt the lashes of the ethereal being’s tentacles in their heads. They fell into a wild frenzy, screamed incantations along with the Master, gouged out their eyes, and attacked each other. Chaos erupted. At dawn, the militia found their bodies. No one survived. This is how playing with a higher power ends.

Made of natural wood, the screens may have traces of knots, resin, grain, cracks, and other elements typical for trees. The panels may be slightly curved. Due to technological reasons, the dimensions of the panels may vary by up to 1 cm and have different heights. The screen can help in the journey, but to fulfill its purpose, the Game Master must be open to its power. For this reason, when you buy the screen, you receive:
  • a game master screen consisting of one board 40x30x1.5cm and two boards 20x30x1.5 cm made of solid wood and connected with metal hinges
  • eight magnets that will allow you to attach necessary information and aids to the screen
In our other auctions, you will find an offer for a personalized screen. We can make a personalized screen with:
  • any engraving
  • one of the colors: cedar, oak, ebony, rosewood, ash gray
  • any number of panels (e.g., 3, 4, 5)
  • horizontal or vertical orientation
  • connection with leather straps or wooden hinge
On the inner side of the screen, there may be traces of glue around the magnets and hinges.

Sovereign is the one who decides on the state of emergency. Not all decisions made by players are foreseen by the rules – and then you, the Game Master, step in with a sovereign decision. Nevertheless, you should act according to the rules. On the Game Screen, you can place the rules and tables you expect to use but find hard to remember. You can also put personal notes, puzzles, statistics of opponents you want to access at any time. After all, the Game Master's Screen will cover your other notes, allow secret rolls, and provide atmosphere during the session.

Wooden screens come with special magnets that allow you to place sheets on the inner side of the screen. We offer a wide selection, but if you have any special requests, write to us – perhaps we can personalize your Game Master's Screen. If you are not the Game Master yourself, remember that your Game Master would certainly be happy with such a gift, even for a birthday.
