Blood, coins and black powder in the gloomy lands of Danswijk

Enter a world balancing on the edge of reason — where fading magic smolders under the feet of mercenaries, merchants and madmen.

In Danswijk nothing is free. Coin buys loyalty, powder settles accounts, and every narrow street smells of secrets, salt and smoke.
It is a place of falling empires and rising guilds, where dwarves plot to control the economy, elves reluctantly seek uncertain allies, and half-elves use their newly gained freedom in completely unpredictable ways.

PRE-ORDER - SHIPPING MARCH 2026

Blunderbuss RPG is a light RPG system with a grim, fantastic atmosphere inspired by the mud and madness of 16th-century Europe.
Characters are flawed, desperate, and very human.
You will encounter strange cults, political betrayals, haunted canals, and the cold steel of forgotten wars.

Game features:

  • Percentile dice system (d100): simplified rules for resolving actions using percentile rolls — accessible, intuitive, and reminiscent of classic RPGs.
  • Only players roll: the GM does not roll dice; they set challenges and determine difficulty levels, focusing on narration and decisions.
  • Double roll results: double numbers (e.g., 11, 22, 33…) trigger dramatic critical successes or failures, adding tension to every roll.
  • Skills versus luck: characters test learned skills or rely on Luck, which changes dynamically during the game — an elegant risk and reward mechanism.
  • Endurance as hit points/morale: Endurance combines HP, condition, and mental tension, simplifying health tracking and allowing for nuanced wounds.
  • The significance of serious failures: a natural failure with a double result is not just a miss — it is a turning point in the narrative, often causing damage or complications.
  • Reputation system: track your position on the Law–Chaos axis; this affects character development, interactions, and story consequences.
  • Fate points: rare, powerful "lives" that allow characters to survive death or automatically succeed at key moments — gained through high Luck.

Whether you are a thief from a dirty street, a fallen noble, or a con-artist prophet — load your blunderbuss and pray.
Welcome to Danswijk. Try to get out of this in one piece.
