Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay 4th ed. Handbook - Empire Archives - Volume II

We present the second volume of the Empire Archives. Inside you will find fascinating, diverse, and incredibly helpful materials describing the Old World in detail. The second volume focuses on the mighty mountains of muscle and fat – ogres, who originate from the Mountains of Mourn, but inhabit the entire Empire, and actually the whole world of Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay. Additionally, the supplement contains information about new locations, professions, and non-player characters. Empire Archives – Volume II is a collection of knowledge that will be useful in almost any Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay adventure.

Archives of the Empire – Volume II includes, among others:
  • Empire Ogres: Two chapters are devoted to ogres, their place in the Empire and in the game session. Here you will find three new Professions, including the terrifying Ogre Butcher with bloody intentions, who wields magic from the Great Maw Tradition.
  • Star Signs and Astrology: Some claim their fate is written in the stars, while others find their future in the gutter. This chapter contains a description of the star signs that illuminate the night sky of the Old World, along with the meanings assigned to them by the inhabitants of the Empire.
  • Magical Items: Although magical items are rare in the Old World, they are also powerful and highly sought after. This chapter contains rules for creating magical weapons, armor, and even stranger items.
  • Great Hospice: This place, a refuge from the dangers of the world, provides care for those who need it (and can afford it). Located north of Altdorf, the Hospice is a detailed location with maps, NPCs, adventure ideas, and more.
  • Theatre of War: Although fighting is common in WFRP, the actual warfare is rarely explored. This chapter contains rules for creating battles straight out of movies, where competent Heroes can influence the outcome of the skirmish.
