The Old World is a dangerous place. The Empire is internally divided and threatened by enemies from outside, so it is worth mastering the art of war or hiring those who have already learned it. Some say that those who live by the sword die by the sword, and there is much truth in that. However, on the wilderness roads of the Empire, lack of combat skills means an even faster death.
The Under Arms manual offers a range of new possibilities and tips for Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay Heroes who perform Warrior Professions. It focuses on features that Players and GMs can use to diversify the combatants of the Old World and add even more depth to them. This 144-page manual contains:

• A description of the Myrmidia cult, constituting the most comprehensive guide so far to the beliefs and practices of the followers of the Goddess of War.

• The Soldiers of every rank chapter, a detailed description of the rank-and-file members of the Empire's glorious units, as well as new Professions such as Shooter, Halberdier, or Electoral Guard.

• A historical description of mercenaries' participation in the wars of the Old World, including background and rules facilitating play with Tileans and other dogs of war.

• A guide to the famous knightly orders of the Empire, offering the possibility to join secular or temple orders, or undertake independent missions as an independent Mercenary Knight.

• An expanded list of weapons and armors, from basic armaments such as swords and axes to exotic specialist equipment like weighted nets and pavises.

• Rules for taking cover in vehicles and buildings, and corresponding rules for blowing them up with destructive artillery.

• Optional and supplementary rules covering new Occupations, and alternative approaches to Critical Wounds, mounted combat, Advantages, chases, and Talents.
