Call of Cthulhu Handbook: Warsaw, Lost City - Polish Scenarios

The city where two worlds meet! Discover Warsaw in the 1920s – a city having fun in the shadow of the impending tragedy. Still beautiful and alive, but already doomed to destruction. Travel back in time to 1926 and walk the streets of the capital of a young country. While great historical events unfold in the background, Investigators discover the dark, shaded corners of Warsaw, where sinister cults lurk, extending their tentacles around. No one knows how far they reach…

In the manual, you will find a historical-mythical description of the city during the interwar period. It includes, among others, new professions, organizations to which Investigators can belong, biographies of famous residents, descriptions of districts and interesting places, ideas for scenarios, and a chapter dedicated to the myths of Cthulhu in Warsaw.
The manual contains three scenarios: Who Has an Eye on the Children?, Ripe for the Harvest, and Countdown to Infinity. They can be played separately or combined into the mini-campaign Blood of the Children of Warsaw.
Is it about a bloody sacrifice that will bring forth unspeakable evil? Or perhaps some madman is trying to gain divine powers through rituals? Investigators will have to find out for themselves. During the investigation, they will learn a dark prophecy about the specter of impending doom. Trying to stop the inevitable, they will face not only many dramatic decisions but also the manifestation of the destructive, relentless power of the myths.
  • WHO HAS AN EYE ON THE CHILDREN? - A macabre criminal mystery in frostbound Warsaw – seemingly peaceful, but with a boiling cauldron of prejudices, poverty, and social unrest beneath the surface. The investigation begins in the heart of Praga, at the famous Różycki Bazaar, and leads Investigators into a world of secrets and horror.
  • RIPE FOR THE HARVEST - The decadent carefreeness of the students of the School of Fine Arts contrasted with the brutality of the military coup forms the backdrop of events involving the Investigators. Acting under time pressure, they move from a classic library investigation to truly dramatic actions. Will they find allies, or will they face unspeakable horror alone?
  • COUNTDOWN TO INFINITY - The story combines anthropological threads with espionage, and higher mathematics with the increasingly popular jazz in Warsaw. What will come out of such an explosive mix if you add to it a prophecy sung in a hypnotic voice about blood flowing through the streets of the capital?
