In a dilapidated city of ruins lived a man known as the Beggar King. He possessed neither gold nor land – his throne was a wooden stool, and his court – a group of homeless people. Among them circulated stories about a copper shield he carried with him. It was a handcrafted game master's screen, decorated with images of dragons and heroes fighting in a legendary battle. The Beggar King initially played only with rats, rolling dice on the floor of deserted tunnels. Over time, however, his storytelling skill attracted others. People gathered around fires listened to his tales of courage, betrayal, and magic. The rules of his game were strict but fair, and every participant, regardless of their status, felt like a hero for a moment. Soon, legends about the Beggar King's game began to spread. Even after his death, the copper screen remained a symbol of a community where everyone, regardless of their origin, had their place in the story. Now the screen has come into your hands. In its copper glow, the spirits of former players are reflected.
