Long ago in Babylon, there ruled King Eresh-Kanur, whose love for games surpassed his interest in ruling. Instead of listening to the advice of sages or tending to crops, Eresh would lock himself in the Golden Chamber, where he laid out his masterpiece: the game master's screen. Made from the finest leather and inlaid with gold, the screen depicted an epic battle with a dragon. The king invited members of his court to take on the roles of heroes of magical worlds, while he himself assumed the role of the fearless game master. The rules were simple, but the plots were complex and full of emotion. Unfortunately, while the king escaped into fantasy worlds, the reality of Babylon was turning into chaos. Farmers abandoned the fields, merchants left, and enemies from neighboring kingdoms prepared for conquest. Despite warnings, the king remained unmoved. "In the real world there are no dragons – so why worry about them?" he would say with a smile. When Babylon fell, the golden screen was lost. It is said that it hides not only the beauty and craftsmanship of a bygone era but also the curse of the king who neglected his duties. Now, as it lies before you, the screen reminds: every game master shapes the fate of their world, but true power lies in responsibility towards those who trust them.
