Steel Stack Handbook: Role-Playing Game

Before You is a Pile of Steel – another game by Maciej Syncerek, funded during a campaign on wspieram.to. Here is what should captivate You in this title!

• A crazy world of an abandoned space station.
• Mechanics combining the use of cards and dice.
• Alternative rules.
• Mystical powers of the gang members.
• Crazy equipment.
• Detailed description of the Pile of Steel along with opponents and their statistics.
• Introductory adventure.
• Unusual event generators (Bernie's Journal is more than just the notes of an old weirdo!).
• Tokens for self-printing at the end of the manual!
• Original and very aesthetic manual design.

Your task

Together with a group of companions, help get the forgotten Pile of Steel space station back on its feet! Exterminate pests, repair modules that provide benefits to the team, or conspire with small factions. Establish relationships with other inhabitants of the Pile, use their abilities and at the same time… Don’t get killed!

What is the Pile of Steel?

It is an unimaginably gigantic space station located beyond the boundaries of the known universe. No signals from outside reach here. Some inhabitants of the Pile think it is the last creation left by ancient civilizations, destroyed by some messed up phenomenon, but honestly… who cares! What matters is what is going on now on the Pile of Steel!

Role of Players

Players take on the roles of unlucky individuals forced to land on the Pile due to numerous ship damages. Now they have only one option – to face the mysterious place standing before them with "open arms" (which cannot be said about the station’s inhabitants!). They will get to know crazy natives with extremely conflicting interests (by the way, some are seriously crazy). The giant Ohm wants to exterminate all pests from the station, androids are preparing a communist revolution, and small pink snorlings steal interesting and dangerous equipment to resell it to creatures threatening everything trying to exist in peace. Did I mention cosmic llamas? Sometimes they wander around. Watch out for their nasty spitting – seriously. It’s poisonous.

Exploration

Do you like exploration? You came to the right place! The Pile is divided into nine main areas; what you find there and the dangers you encounter differ significantly by region. Each area has several detailed locations, non-player characters, and opponents. Each with individual character and goals. So there will be plenty to search! Who would have thought that digging through a pile would become such a fascinating activity!
